MPJ COMMUNICATES HMH’S INITIATIVE WITH DUBAI FITNESS CHALLENGE

HMH – Hospitality Management Holding has been actively engaged in the Dubai Fitness Challenge with a goal of reaching 100,000 minutes of joint exercise throughout the group. The participating hotels include teams from the Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, the Coral Dubai Al Barsha Hotel, the Coral Beach Resort Sharjah and the Coral Dubai Deira Hotel. Each hotel has formed a team of 30 members who have been given a monthly target to reach 27,000 minutes of combined exercise with aschedule of 30 minutes workout daily.

Mr. Ferghal Purcell, COO of HMH, said, “We are very excited to be part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, organized under the kind patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai Government and Dubai Sports Council, that is aimed at making Dubai the most active city in the world. It is a wonderful initiative to motivate people to exercise every day for 30 minutes and reinforces the message that exercise is the best medicine for a healthy life. In an age where we are living increasingly busy yet often sedentary lives, weaving physical activity into our daily routines is extremely important, not only to improve our physical health but also for our overall well-being. I am so glad all our hotels in the UAE have responded so enthusiastically and have been participating daily in different sports reflecting their commitment to physical activity and reinforcing it into their daily lives.”

The excitement is truly mounting across the different hotels. Coral Beach Resort Sharjah is clearly storming ahead in the competition with no signs of slowing down. The hotel is currently on number 11 with 385,633 moves out of the 13,998 companies registered for the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel is on number 9 out of 4645 participants in group C with a grand total of 245,184 moves. Flexing their muscles are also teams from the Coral Dubai Al Barsha Hotel and the Coral Dubai Deira Hotel.

Hotels Operated by HMH – Hospitality Management Holding In UAE Demonstrate Exceptional Performance

Hotels operated by HMH – Hospitality Management Holding in the UAE exceeded expectations with an outstanding year-to-date performance. While Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel recorded an impressive 23 per cent growth in revenue, Coral Beach Resort Sharjah and Coral Dubai Deira averaged between 5 to 10 per cent increase in revenue year on year.

Ferghal Purcell, COO of HMH, attributes this exceptional performance to a diversified and balanced business mix, as well as an increase in the wholesale business. Purcell said, “We have been witnessing extremely positive trends with certain markets performing better than expected. There has been a very strong return of the wholesale market from the CIS and Europe including the Nordic and Baltic States, which helped boost the numbers. In addition, the GCC market remains very strong with very successful school holiday periods”.

Highlighting the significance of tapping diverse market segments, Purcell added, “Appropriately, a diversified and an optimal business mix enabled us to drive improved revenue and profit outcomes. Our strategy has been to drive business across all verticals that has given us a steady mix of corporate, long-stay, leisure, e-commerce and FIT segment; which in turn has kept our figures firm.”

HMH – Hospitality Management Holding has unveiled a new logo in keeping with the group’s unique selling proposition ‘Beyond Hospitality’. It has been developed, to not only meet the evolving needs of the market but also, to reflect the group’s distinctive character, exceptional brands and aggressive expansion strategy.

Launching the logo, Ferghal Purcell, Chief Operating Officer of HMH, said, “The new HMH logo demonstrates a decade of success. Reflecting our brand culture, built on our commitment to excellence and consistent quality of service, the new identity has been designed to broaden our appeal at every level of our business. As a token of appreciation, H.H. Hosted by The Ajman Palace Hotel, the three-day annual luxury bridal exhibition is open for visitors from 11th to 13th January and is co-sponsored by Ajman Bank and 2XL Furniture & Home Décor. Building up on the success of the last two years, the fair is expected to attract more than 2000 affluent, high net worth visitors over the three days.  With dedicated sections for beauty, fashion, jewellery, confectionery, linen, porcelain, tourism boards, banks, and photography, this year over 60 leading brands and vendors specialized in catering to luxury events, are exhibiting their products and services at the exclusive show. Prominent among them are Fashion Designers such as Mona Al Mansouri, Walid Atallah and Ritu Kumar as well as TOMIREX INTERNATIONAL, the Italian firm representing Italian fashion brands in the Middle East and Bride Club ME, the UAE’s leading wedding inspiration website.
