Sharjah, UAE, March 24th, 2022 – H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Qassimi received a Nigerian delegation led by Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite, the Nigerian Minster of Mines and Steel Development.

The minister was accompanied by a delegation represented by;

  • Oluwatoyin Akinlade – Permanent Secretary
  • Obadiah S. Nkom – Director General, Mining Cadaster Office
  • Abdulrazaq Garba – Director General, Nigerian Geological Survey Agency
  • Hajiya Fatima Shinkafi – Executive Secretary, Solid Mineral Development Fund
  • Engr Frank Odoom – Director, Mines Inspectorate Department
  • Olu Adedayo – Senior Special Assistance (Technical)

The meeting came as part of a subsequent visit of the Nigerian President H.E. Muhammadu Buhari at the Expo Dubai 2020 and meeting Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Qassimi to discuss potential investments in Nigeria. Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Qassimi received the delegation in the Sharjah palace and had a working session to discuss investment ideas.

As a token of appreciation, Sheikh Mohammed has presented the minister with an Emirati dagger as a memorial gift. The minister expressed optimism about the cooperation and supported the partnership with Manafa LLC, while appreciating the various investment plans.
